We are offering a small group of select young professionals (under age 40) to participate in a global leadership experience, where you are invited to get a first-hand look into the inner workings of our Volunteer Leadership Committees, and participate in local, regional events led by IMA chapters. This will be a commitment of nine months, from October 2023 to June 2024. Participants have the unique opportunity to attend committee meetings, meet IMA staff and volunteer leaders, contribute ideas, and gain valuable leadership experience.

To participate in the Leadership Experience, a participant must be an IMA professional member in good standing, a CMA or CMA candidate, and have an interest in volunteering with us to build leadership skills. Applications will be reviewed in October 2023.

We will select a small group of young professionals in October to participate in the program, and participants will attend “Governance 101” training prior to being invited to attend IMA Volunteer Leadership Committee monthly meetings virtually. Participants will also engage in various activities throughout the program, including being paired with an IMA buddy, and introduction to their local chapter/council leaders. IMA will cover all travel expenses for participants to attend local/regional events. Participants will work together on a group assignment to be presented to the Volunteer Leadership Committee in May 2024.
